43 Rachel Bilson

Rachel Bilson became a household name in 2003 when she commenced her role as Summer Roberts on The O.C. Although she made a couple of guest appearances on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mad TV and That ‘70s Show, it was The O.C. that was her call to fame. She is currently branching out into feature films, and she's gaining a lot of attention for her debut in The Last Kiss (2006). Rachel is single, but she was once involved with her O.C. costar Adam Brody for a number of years.

Rachel first appeared on our Top 99 list at No. 77 in 2005 and moved up to No. 72 in 2006. This past year, however, she made a giant leap to the No. 43 spot -- no doubt a result of her work in The Last Kiss with Zach Braff. Rachel portrays the spitfire college student Kim whose free spirit tempts Braff’s character away from his fiancée. Rachel may be young and still relatively new to acting, but the ladies above her on the list better keep an eye on her throughout 2007.

Rachel Bilson starts 2007 off as a single female after her relationship with Adam Brody ended in December 2006, but her acting career continues to sail upward. She is still playing Summer Roberts on The O.C. as the show unfolds its fourth and final season. On the big screen, however, Rachel has secured a role in Jumper, the latest Doug Liman film due for theatrical release in 2008. Working on The O.C. and Jumper at the same time should certainly keep Rachel busy during 2007, and we look forward to seeing her talent grow as she prepares for the next Top 99.
