77 Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson was famously discovered in 1995 by director Larry Clark, who offered her a part in his debut film, the controversial and critically acclaimed Kids. She proved to be a natural actress and subsequently began popping up in a host of independent movies. Rosario’s first real mainstream exposure came in 2001 when she was cast as Valerie in Josie and the Pussycats, which she followed up with roles in such Hollywood hits such as Men in Black II (2002) with Will Smith, The Rundown (2003) with The Rock, The Devil’s Rejects (2005) and Sin City (2005).

In 2006, Rosario appeared in two well-received yet vastly different films: Kevin Smith’s Clerks II and the Sundance favorite A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. Cast as Becky in Clerks II, Rosario proved that she had absolutely no problem tackling Smith’s expectedly verbose screenplay, and held her own among returning actors Brian O’Halloran and Jeff Anderson. A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints had Rosario as the childhood sweetheart of Robert Downey Jr.’s character, and the actress, along with the rest of the cast, won a Special Jury Prize from the Sundance Film Festival. We are pleased to announce that this is Rosario’s third appearance on AskMen.com’s Top 99 list; in 2006, she ranked No. 87.

Thanks to her firm curves, luscious lips and down-to-earth attitude, you can expect Rosario to once again shake up her image in 2007. First up for the actress is an appearance in Grindhouse, the hugely anticipated mash-up film from Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino (Rosario will be appearing in Tarantino’s segment, Death Proof, opposite screen legend Kurt Russell). She’ll follow that up with a role in Killshot, based on a novel by Elmore Leonard and also starring Diane Lane. Rosario is reportedly scheduled to make a return appearance in Sin City 2, along with Jessica Alba and Clive Owen.
